Community Outreach Recovery Essentials (CORE)

Our CORE service provides treatment and support for individuals recently discharged from a state hospital or to prevent hospitalization. Unlike traditional outpatient therapy, much of the treatment occurs in the individual’s residence or elsewhere in the community. We also provide mobile nursing services, monthly appointments with the team psychiatrist and on call consultative services.

Mental Health Outpatient Therapy Services

Our Mental Health Outpatient Therapy program provides individual, family, and group therapy in a traditional clinic based model. Services are provided both in person and by telehealth. Our therapists are trained to work with individuals experiencing a wide variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, among others.

Outpatient Substance Use Treatment

Substance Use Disorders are diseases that can become terminal if left untreated. To get individuals on the road to recovery, our substance use therapists focus on education, problem identification, increasing self-awareness, developing healthy coping skills and providing referrals where necessary.

Crisis Intervention Services

TrueNorth Wellness Services provides 24/7 crisis intervention services in Fulton County PA. Crisis services are used when individuals need immediate support to regulate their emotions and/or remain safe. An evaluation is completed and recommendations are made based on the information provided. This could include emotion regulation skills to utilize in the moment, referrals to community resources and ongoing treatment, or assistance accessing higher levels of care.

These services can be accessed by calling the FCMC at 717-485-3155 option 1, Emergency Room Staff will put you in touch with the crisis intervention specialist on-call.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our service delivers outpatient group services in a highly structured therapeutic environment for individuals who need more intensive treatment than is available through individual counseling or who are at risk for admission to a psychiatric inpatient facility. This service also helps individuals transition back into the community from a psychiatric hospital.

Peer Support Services

Our Peer Support Program is designed to help individuals living with or experiencing mental illness through the recovery process. By utilizing trained Certified Peers who are succeeding in their own recovery from mental illness, clients can learn and benefit from their real life experiences. This program allows our clients to build a comfortable and open relationship with the Peer Specialists based on the idea that each has experience living with a psychiatric illness.

Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) was developed in Pennsylvania to serve students who are having difficulty in school due to alcohol/drug use, depression, or other mental health concerns. SAP seeks to assist and refer these students to appropriate in-school and community resources.

Once a referral has been received, TrueNorth Wellness Services works together with area school districts, students, and their families to develop a plan of action to offer support and resolve identified concerns.

Substance Use Education and Prevention

This program provides community organizations, such as businesses, law enforcement, first responders, schools, health care providers, etc. with the tools they need to support prevention and identify the early signs of substance use. Our programs are endorsed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
