Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS)
Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS) support children and their families by providing intensive services in the home, school, and community settings as necessary. Also known as wraparound services, this program focuses on stabilizing symptoms and behaviors and transferring skills to the child’s natural support system.

School-Based Therapy Services
School-Based Therapy Services include programs that offer students in five school districts within the greater Harrisburg area an opportunity to meet with therapists either on an outpatient basis, where students have weekly appointments in an office setting, or on a more integrated basis, where the therapist works as part of a therapeutic emotional support or autism support classroom. Group therapy, individual therapy, and behavioral support are provided on a regular basis throughout the school year.

For more information, please contact Cori Reed at (717) 632-4900, ext. 1930.

Student Assistance Program (SAP)
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) was developed in Pennsylvania to serve students who are having difficulty in school due to alcohol/drug use, depression, or other mental health problems. The SAP seeks to assist and refer these students to appropriate in-school and community resources.

Once a referral has been received, TrueNorth Wellness Services works together with area school districts, students, and their families to develop a plan of action to offer support and resolve identified problems. Services provided by the SAP include:

  • Professional consultation services to school districts
  • Participation in school SAP core teams
  • Assessment and referral services
  • Mental heath counseling
  • Drug and alcohol counseling
  • Family counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Crisis intervention services
  • Postvention services
