Why have a DEIB statement?
Similar to our mission, vision, and core values, our agency’s DEIB statement provides guidance to the direction the organization. It is not a singular statement, rather, it is a manner of operation and a goal for our staff, programs and organization as a whole.
What comes next?
Our DEIB statement is just the first step in an ongoing process to celebrate, maintain and improve diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging in our organization. As we look at DEIB initiatives in our organization, we recognize this work cannot be done in isolation. We must engage with our staff, clients, and community to truly embrace and practice the values of our statement.
