Education and/or Experience/Qualifications: Must meet the requirement below: • A Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or nursing.
Job Description: • Providing counseling services to a wide variety of clients with substance use disorders (SUD). • The ideal Drug and Alcohol Therapist/ Counselor candidate will have had experience in treating SUDs and will be able to provide dual services. • Individual has the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide range of persons, ages, and functioning levels • Can evaluate a clinical picture of each client based on presenting problems, psychosocial history, and contributing factors to come up with a course of treatment. • The Drug and Alcohol Therapist/Counselor will need to be able to complete assessments, progress notes, and other required paperwork through an electronic medical record. This is a part-time drug and alcohol therapist/counselor position. Hours are flexible, but will depend on where the need for services is present.
