Position: Part Time Certified Peer Specialist in Franklin/Fulton Counties

Qualifications: High School Diploma. Position requires completing a 2 week course to receive Certification to provide Peer Support Services. In addition, applicant will take a 2 day course to be able to provide Peer Support Services for Youth and Young Adults (ages 14-17). Receiving behavioral health services in the past or currently is a requirement to become a Certified Peer Support Specialist.

Job Requirements: Ability to work with Adults, with the eventual transition to additionally serve Youth and Young Adults. Certified Peer Specialists work through the recovery process with individuals who are living with or experiencing serious mental illness or emotional disturbance. Potential employee must have the ability to: relate to clients, provide empathy and compassion, and promote recovery. Requires being able to work with a team of other passionate Certified Peer Specialists. Reliable transportation is required. Position will be within Franklin and Fulton Counties. Position available immediately.
